Q & A
Can ghosts follow a person home?
Yes, they definitely can. I was followed home by an entity I refer to as "The Critter" - Astral Parasite. And other times, we have had a ghost hitch a ride with us after a case. You must be careful. If you are an investigator, make sure you are doing your pre and post investigation blessings, no matter how benign you think the place is.
Can I do my own EVP sessions before I call someone in?
It is highly recommended that you DO NOT try to investigate your home by performing EVP sessions, or any other methods. If you open up a door, you have no idea who may walk through it and will not be prepared for what you might find. It is best to have a team come in that is trained to deal with hauntings. Do not try to replicate what you see on the TV shows, it can be dangerous.
Why do you not charge for this service?
There are several reasons. One main reason is -- We are investigating and when we come to your home, we have asked for God to protect us and assist through us, as we do so. To charge for something that God has been asked to assist with, would possibly take away any protection we have. If we are asked to travel great distances, we may ask for donations towards gas, but that would be the limit.
If you get hurt while investigating, will we be held responsible?
Absolutely not. We know the risks we take. Further, we have the client sign an Investigation form which protects both you and us and states you are not responsible should anything that happen to us during the investigation.
Will our personal information be put on your website where people will see it?
No, it will not. Depending on the case, we may put a brief overview of the case and what happened but no personal information -- names, address, etc. -- will be placed on the site.
I am interested in Ghost Hunting, how can I get started?
I would recommend not just purchasing equipment and heading to the nearest haunted house/location. Get with a team that has experience and learn from them. Remember, you may start out looking for
a ghost but find something you didn't bargain for. If you are in the Northern Virginia area, reach out to us, we would be happy to answer questions for you. But remember, when you do go to a haunted location - I am talking about ghosts here, not demons - do not go in and treat them poorly. If you go into a location where you believe is demonic - GET OUT. You are not trained or prepared for what could happen. If ghosts are there, they could be there in purgatory; you do not know. If you want to do good, ask if they want prayer. If so, pray for them. Do not treat the location like a petting zoo and try to get them to do tricks.
What are some of the reasons a haunting occurs?
You have moved in to a preexisting haunting where the activity was there before you. Or possibly, you opened yourself up by inviting them in by using items such as a Quija Board, or something similar. There are other possible reasons but those are the top two.
Why do you do this?
This is probably one of the most common questions we get asked, especially when we are dealing with inhuman spirits. Honestly, it is harder to answer than you would think. All I can say is it is a calling. Something that a higher power has put in us. When dealing with cases where most would not consider, we hit it straight on. Any fears or doubts are removed. We know that we have the "Big Guy" upstairs and his army with us on all cases. There is a quote in the Bible, Matthew, that says: ........... if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move. Nothing will be impossible for you."
There is also a Matthew West song called Do Something. A man wakes up and is complaining about all the trouble in the world, he looks up to the Heaven and says "God, why don't You do something?" God replies and says "I did, I created you."
If something is in my house, can you remove it in one visit?
Although normally one visit works, there are other times where an additional visit would be required. Some human spirits or entities can feel they have a right to be there. That could have been from something a previous owner did or some other reasons we can discuss in further detail. If a second visit is required, we do not do an investigation the second time, we simply come with a prayer session.
Will sage remove a ghost or demon?
No, sage can remove negative energy that the spirit(s) may be feeding off of but it will not remove a spirit solely. If you are dealing with a demonic entity, then sage can actually make things worse so be sure you know what you are dealing with.
How do you deal with Demonic Spirits?
First and foremost, we have no desire to communicate with Demonic entities. Typically, in cases where we have encountered it being a demonic case, there are always human spirits there as well. They are usually being oppressed and used by the demonic. We work to try to get information from the human spirits and assure them we are there to help them. Any demonic entity that tries to communicate with us is ignored. We are not there to get demonic evidence and have no interest in communicating with the demonic. We are there to help the homeowner, and the stuck spirits. Once the stuck spirits are dealt with in accordance with prayers, we then bring in God and his team to deal with the demonic.
There may be times a little provoking is required but that is the exception not the rule. Dealing with the demonic directly is not something anyone should do.
Are there things we can try before calling in a group?
Yes, definitely. Each case may be slightly different so the best thing to do is contact us and let us know what is going on. We can then tailor a plan for you.
Paranormal or Supernatural?
The terms “paranormal” and “supernatural” are often used interchangeably to mean the same thing. But, in fact, they have separate meanings. By definition - Paranormal means “denoting events or phenomena such as telekinesis or clairvoyance that are beyond the scope of normal scientific understanding.” On the other hand, Supernatural means - (of a manifestation or event) attributed to some force beyond scientific understanding or the laws of nature.
